Serving the Citizens of Berkeley County for 40 years!

The Berkeley County Rescue Squad was formed in August of 1966 after some local citizens got together to look for some missing teenagers on Lake Moultrie. Everyone was found safe & sound but the seed was planted for some form of organized response, thus the Rescue Squad was born. The squad has grown quite a bit since then but the mission is still the same. We are a 30 member all volunteer organization that operates with a very limited budget and a lot of hard work and dedication from our members. We are funded primarily by public donations with Berkeley County filling in the rest. Since the Trident United Way has decided that the Rescue Squad no longer meets their criteria for life saving funding, we ask that you consider designating your funds to our organization. 100% of every dollar goes towards our operation. We are the only Trident United Way organization that does not have any paid personnel. It's very hard to put a price tag on a human life. Please stop by and see what your contribution helps to fund. If you are interested in joining, go to our Members page and download an application!
